Strep-Tactin® AP
Strep-Tactin® AP conjugate for detection of Strep-tag®II and Twin-Strep-tag® fusion proteins
For the specific detection of Strep-tag® and Twin-Strep-tag® fusion proteins, Strep-Tactin® is available conjugated to alkaline phosphatase (AP). The proteins can be captured on a membrane or microplate. After application of Strep-Tactin® AP, they can be visualized in a chromogenic reaction.
Strep-Tactin® AP cross-reacts with biotin and biotinylated proteins (e.g. the biotin carboxyl carrier protein in E. coli). To prevent the detection of false positives, prepare biotin blocking buffer (2.5 mg/ml avidin in PBS) and use for biotin masking according to our protocol.
